小学英语单词教学中纠音方法的研究

英语是现代人的一个重要交际工具,它已成为我们生活、学习、工作中必不可少的一部分。在学习英语的过程中,学好发音是十分重要的第一步。在小学阶段学习英语发音必须从单词发音开始,正确的单词语音是学好英语的关键。然而在单词教学中,学生总会出现很多的单词语音错误,影响师生、生生交流,严重阻碍学生的英语表达能力的提高。因此,在平时的课堂中,我们对学生的错误发音进行了纠正,如何行之有效地进行当堂纠音?我们做了以下一些尝试:

一、小学英语课堂中常常出现的错误发音情况。

在课堂教学实践中,我们发现学生单词读音不准,只是某部分出现错误,当堂纠音方法与单词的教学方法还是有所不同。经过观察发现,学生很容易出现的发音错误有:长短音比较模糊,重音掌握的不好,个别元音发的不到位,长单词发音不准等。我们采取了一些不同的方法,切实的解决纠音难、纠音效果不好等问题。

二、嘴形纠音。

嘴形纠音指的是教师利用嘴型特征提示学生正确发音。这种方法适用于纠正一些元音与单辅音的发音错误。如 [n] 与[m ]、[æ]与[ei ]、[v]与[W]等发音的混淆。由于这些发音都有自己显著的嘴形特征,所以我利用嘴型提示,学生能最准确、最清楚的改正自己的语音错误。如学生经常会将“pen”发成“pem”, [n] 和

[m ]的音很容易搞错,于是在学生读错时,教师可以适时的咬住舌尖,提示学生

[n]的发音,学生一看教师的嘴型就很清楚自己的错误了,而且印象也比较深刻。再如在我的一次公开课时,站起来的学生朗读lake都没问题,可由于还有一部分学生读音有问题没朗读。结果在集体朗读时很明显出现了错误,有很大一部分学生都将[lei k]发成了[le k],于是我适时用夸张的嘴形,提醒同学们将嘴角咧到耳根去,学生们很快就纠正了错误。而且在今后碰到类似的问题时,学生一见我夸张的咧嘴就知道自己的错误,并及时改正了。

三、动作纠音。

动作纠音指的是教师利用手势、肢体语言等动作形式来提醒学生正确的发音方式。这种方式适用于纠正一些组合音节的发音错误,如[ai] 、[au],这些音一般都比较夸张,能利用动作来很好的表现发音的特征,所以教师可以利用动作来

进行纠音。在教学实践中,我发现用手势语教学语音效果很佳。如在教学音标[au]时,学生开口度总达不到理想的效果。于是,我就利用手势辅助教学。当我发[au]时,同时在身体前方顺时针画了一个大大的圆圈,引导学生也那样做。结果,学生都找到了感觉。

这种方式也适用于纠正一些轻重音、长短音的发音错误。如在教学soup时,中间音[u:]是一个长音 ,但好多学生都发成了短音[u]。而后面的[p]是一个轻音,大部分学生发成了一个重音。于是我边读soup,边用手指划了长长一横和短短的一竖。看到这里学生也做起了手势并跟着手势读了起来,自然长音部分与轻音部分都发准了,而且很轻松。

四、拼读纠音。

拼读纠音指的是教师提示学生通过单词的拼读来进行纠音。适用于相对简单的拼读单词,如hen、man、ten等。这种单词具有很明显的拼读规律,学生可以直接通过拼读来改正自己的错误。这种纠音方式效果好,而且有利于学生的单词自学。如在教学单词hen时,学生很容易将[hen]发成[hən],而且一个学生出错很容易影响整个班级的学生。所以这就需要教师行之有效的纠音了,而这些发音没有很形象的发音特征。于是我就让学生通过自然拼读h-e –he-[hen],多次拼读之后学生即使再次出错,也能通过拼读方法来进行自我纠正了。又如学生在朗读新学单词coat时,大部分学生会将[kəut]错误发成[kɔt]。于是我便提示学生[əu]的发音,并鼓励学生自己进行拼读,多次下来学生不仅会纠正这个音,而且很有利于今后的单词拼读。

心理学理论告诉我们“小学生更容易形成习惯的定势”,如果教师在课堂中没有及时的对错误发音进行纠正,以后就很难再纠正他们的错误了。当堂纠音不仅有利于学生完善个人的语音面貌,而且有助于同步改正班级整体发音,有助于英语听力,对学生未来英语水平有正面促进。我想:若坚持长期正确的输入,就能达到正确的输出。
